Teaching Prohibition

TEACHING PROHIBITION AT LAUSD features three LAUSD high school teachers describing how they plan to integrate the PBS series Prohibition into their classroom instruction.  The teachers will share their instructional strategies for how to maximize the series content to enhance lessons about American History.  The program is scheduled to air as follows:

PROHIBITION is a three-part, documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that tells the story of the rise, rule, and fall of the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the entire era it encompassed.  
 
Series airs Sundays at 6 pm beginning October 16:

Part 1: A Nation of Drunkards - 10/16
Part 2: A Nation of Scofflaws - 10/23
Part 3: A Nation of Hypocrites - 10/30
