New Program Alert: Contract Update
Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Superintendent of Schools John Deasy will join two teachers in the District for a one-hour update on the United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) tentative contract during a live, broadcast call-in special show to air on KLCS-TV.
The program will air LIVE on Wednesday, December 7th at 6 pm and repeat:
Friday, December 9th at 11 am
Sunday, December 11th at 8 am

New Program Alert: Facetime
Facetime is KLCS’ new interview program with the Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Dr. John Deasy. The program will be moderated by NBC4’s educational reporter Kim Baldonado. For one hour, Ms. Maldonado and her journalist guests, Howard Blume, reporter from the Los Angeles Times, and Susan Abram, reporter from the Los Angeles Daily News will have the opportunity to pose questions to the new Super on issues related to education and Los Angeles Unified School District.

Teaching Prohibition
TEACHING PROHIBITION AT LAUSD features three LAUSD high school teachers describing how they plan to integrate the PBS series Prohibition into their classroom instruction. The teachers will share their instructional strategies for how to maximize the series content to enhance lessons about American History. The program is scheduled to air as follows:
